With the success of the ELVIS SONG POLL 2007 it's been decided to add an Elvis Album Poll to help commemorate the forthcoming 30th Anniversary of Elvis' passing.
Elvis began his career in an era that still considered the single more important than the album. Unlike the decades that followed the 1950s seldom produced all time classic albums. One exception was Elvs' first album with RCA "Elvis Presley" released in 1956. With songs like Blue Sude Shoes, Tutti Frutti and Money Honey Elvis' debut LP went gold and straight to the top of the album charts in the United States.
But Elvis wasn't known for his albums in the way artists like the Beatles and Boby Dylan were. Yet, Elvis fans will tell you albums like "Elvis Is Back", "From Elvis In Memphis", "Elvis, That's the Way It Is" and "Aloha From Hawaii" were amongst his best and therefore amongst the best. But pop/rock historians will tell you that Elvis' greatest album was the compilation of his early records known as the "Sun Sessions". Compilation albums aren't often hailed as great pieces of work but this happens to be a collection of arguably the most important recordings in rock history. So, how can it be disregarded?
Amongst his biggest selling albums are his Christmas albums, Blue Hawaii, G. Blues and Moody Blue. But what are the fan's favourite albums of Elvis Presley?
